Outside Midwest Airlines Center

This sound was recorded on September 30 around 2:15 p.m.

When i first got to 4th Avenue by the Bradley Center I started walking towards the Midwest Airlines Center. I could here these loud engines echoing from the tunnel. There were buses in the tunnel and the sound was very great. I walked over to a railing across the street from the main door and began recording. The mics even picked up the bus drivers and passengers from across the street.

*On all my maps, the color yellow represents the left mic and the color blue represents the right mic.

Trek 01 inside_airlines

This sound was recorded on September 30 at 2:20 p.m.

After being outside in the tunnel, I decided to walk into Midwest Airlines Center. There was a lot of people there and they had a buffet. It also looked like the people there were holding conferences. Throughout the recording you can here the clatter of plates and glass from the buffet and the conversation the people surrounding me.

Trek 01 art_sculpture

This sound was recorded on September 30 at 2:40 p.m.

I recorded this at 3rd and Wisconsin, right next to the art sculpture. The left mic was pointing towards the corner and the right mic is pointed down the sidewalk. The recording reminds me of emptiness, there's not much noise and commotion, rather a slow drain of sound.

Trek 01 alley

This sound was recorded on September 30 at 3:10 p.m.

I recorded this sound in an alley across from Linen's and Things on Wisconsin Avenue. The left mic was placed in a drain pipe above some trash cans and the right mic was resting on top of a dumpster. In the recording quite a bit of cars drove by, and about half way through the recording you can here a passerby step on a cup which makes somewhat of a echoing noise.

Water pipe on Riverwalk

This sound was recorded on September 30 at 3:45 p.m.

The mics were hanging over a railing about 5 feet from a water pipe. The sound mainly consists of running water, but at times it sounds as if grasshoppers are close by. It was a beautiful day, and there were boats on the river, which also added some distant sound.
